This is a cushion cut yellow Spinel with an oval Citrine. Spinels are semi-precious stones that come in various colours. It has been a busy week working on new collections for the upcoming Goldsmiths Fair 2011.
Here is a sterling silver ring with a large Citrine gemstone. We hammered and melted the surface of the metal and then forged the setting so that it follows the lines and shape of the stone. It is an amazing colour and almost looks edible!
